Meetings/Events
Troop 133 Meetings will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. Committee Meetings will be held on the second Sunday of the month when required (approximately every other month). Patrol Leader Council meetings will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month. All meetings will be held at the United Church of Christ in Churchville.
Permission Slips must be signed and returned to the Scoutmaster (or adult leader in charge of the event) by the parent/guardian prior to any Scouting event by the specified deadline date.
Equipment
Troop 133 equipment and patrol boxes are currently stored on the property of the Scoutmaster. The troop Quartermaster maintains a list of equipment and is responsible for its whereabouts. The Scoutmaster has a key to the building housing the equipment.
Publicity
All publicity concerning Troop 133 events will be submitted to any/all of the following: Otetiana Council's Smoke Signals; Brockport's Tri-County Advertiser; Town of Riga Newsletter and Spencerport's Suburban News.
Uniforms
Uniforms should be worn to all Troop meetings and taken to district/council events unless otherwise noted. Troop 133 will purchase the Council patch, Troop numbers, red epaulets, neckerchiefs and neckerchief slides for the boys.* Boys will purchase their own patrol patches, leadership patches, and books.
* New boys will pay a $8 deposit for their neckerchiefs. After 6 months, the deposit will be credited to the individual's account by the Troop Treasurer.
Purchases
Large purchases should be submitted to the Committee for approval. However, the Scoutmaster may make purchases under $100 with the approval of the Committee Chairperson as needed.
Merit Badges/ Advancements
A list of Merit Badge Counselors is available upon request from the Advancements Chairperson. Merit Badge books may be borrowed from the Troop Library, if available.
A Board of Review will be held at various times of the year prior to advancement in rank. Parents, committee members, and/or sponsoring organization representatives may be asked to serve on a Board of Review. A parent may not serve on his/her own son's Board of Review.
